Marini asphalt plant BE TOWER 2000 P to work for the Ho City airport

The Minister of Transport, together with a team of experts, promoted the creation of a new airport in Ho City as part of efforts to open up the Volta region for economic development. The Volta Region is one of the most populous region of Ghana.

This new airport will not only connect Ho with other cities like Takodari, Accra, Tamale, but will serve also as key fuelling station for international flights.
The project includes a 1,600 meters new runway, 45 meters width, a taxiway, an apron and two parking bases for aircraft.

Be Tower 2000 P is the AMANDI choice

For this project the Ghanaian construction company AMANDI chose the Marini last generation asphalt plant Be Tower 2000 P. This batching plant, with an hour capacity of 160 t/h, has been able to supply high quality hot mix asphalt for the airport runway and ancillary roads, with a performing daily production of more than 1,000 tons.

Modular, on metallic support basis, this asphalt plant 100% made in Marini Italy, in spite of its size and capacity is easy to transport, to erect and to put into operation.

Synergy within FAYAT Group has always been a key factor! Proven once more on Ho City Airport project: to lay down and compact BOMAG equipment have been used, more precisely the paver finisher BF 800 and the pneumatic BW 24 RH + the BW 161 AD-50 tandem rollers.

Jobsite successfully delivered!

The official inauguration of the Ho airport runway took place in November 2016. The most exciting moment of inauguration has been when the Ghana President’s helicopter landed on the tarmac to a rousing welcome from the people.
